Just a group of disks (JBOD) is a type of multilevel Configuration for disks which have now not been designed for a RAID Array.
JBOD combines all underlying disks in a Computer machine or array as a logical uNit.
JBOD arrays do now not normally have any Formal shape or pooling architecture inside them. Each force in the sySTEM may be Accessed individually or as a combined unit. The disks applied within the JBOD can be of any length. It does now not support redundancy, and improves performance of the underlying Device. Failure of one drive in the Volume can bring about failure of the whole quantity. The drives may be pooled together using disk quantity technologies or applications.
