What is Logical Topology?

A logical Topology is a idea in Networking that defines the structure of the verbal excHange mechanism for all Nodes in a commUnity. Using commuNity Device which include Routers and Switches, the logical topology of a Network can be dynamically maintained and reconfigured.

Logical topologies contrasts with physical topologies, which refer to the physical Interconnections of all devices within the community.

What Does Logical Topology Mean?

The logical topology defines how the Records have to transfer. Contrast this to the Physical Topology, which includes the Format of cables, network devices and wiring.

Two of the maximum commonplace logical topologies are:

  • Bus Topology: Ethernet uses the logical Bus topology to switch Data. Under a bus topology a node pronounces the facts to the complete community. All other nodes on the community hear the statistics and take a look at if the statistics is intended for them.
