What Does Microchip Mean?

Microchips are used in all Digital devices – from small flash drives to complex Computers or even some motorized vehicles.

After the Transistor turned into invented, next technology allowed for a dramatic Discount in length and the advent of complicated circuits that may be placed on a small piece of semiconductive material, normally Silicon, referred to as a chip. This is a far cry from the vintage Vacuum Tubes that Characterised early digital circuits.

In 1949, early mentions in microchip technology improvement commenced when Werner Jacobi, a German Engineer for Siemens AG, Filed a Patent for an IC-like amplification device. He claimed this tool can be used to create listening to aids.
